One to Ten and Back Again is about two best friends, Nick and Sue. Nick and Sue join us throughout the book counting the numbers up to ten and back down to one again. The numbers are represented by many different objects from clothing, to animals, to food. It's a very good book because it starts off counting the numbers in rhymes and there are so many adjectives that children can learn. I like how there were alot of colours, objects, animals and clothing that children can learn about, not only for their knowlwdge and understanding of the world but also when they want to tell a story. It can help their imagination. I also like at the end of the book, there is like a summary with the numbers and objects next to it. However, i thought the book could have had rhyming as the book was counting down back again from ten to one. I thought consistent rhyming would help the children better. Overall i think this book would be very good to learn numbers up to ten for children. It is very visual and colourful, the children will be engaged as they read the book with the rhymes. I think it will also contribute to the enhancement of their imagination. ...more

Recommends it for: Kids 8 months plus
This is my son, Lukes' favourite book. I have been reading it twice daily for almost a year and he still loves it! Well it's mainly pictures, with a bit of counting (Sue has two shiny shoes etc). He loves the page with the 8 fish in the sea. It has thick cardboard pages which he can turn himself. I have just bought their colours book, and can't recommend their books highly enough! Guess what all his friends will be getting for Christmas this year!! This is my son, Lukes' favourite book. I have been reading it twice daily for almost a year and he still loves it!
